You will be responsible for processing both PO and non-PO invoices in a high-volume environment while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payments. This role involves building strong vendor relationships, reconciling statements, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with internal teams to support audits, reporting, and month-end close activities.
What you will be doing
Process purchase order (PO) and non-purchase order (non-PO) invoices in a high-volume environment, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review invoices for accuracy including pricing, quantities, payment terms, and supporting documentation
Verify and obtain appropriate authorization for non-PO invoices and cheque requisitions
Reconcile vendor statements promptly, investigate variances, and provide clear, timely communication to vendors
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, offering guidance on invoicing procedures as needed
Research and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with both internal teams and external partners
Monitor and follow up on unapproved invoices with internal stakeholders to ensure timely resolution
Prepare ad-hoc reports, assist with complex reconciliations, and support audits when required
Contribute to the accounts payable month-end close, reporting, and other related activities
Provide vacation coverage and assist with additional finance-related duties as assigned
What we would like from you
3-5 years of accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
Experience using Oracle Fusion Cloud accounting software
Familiarity with paperless AP processes
Solid understanding of AP principles and practices
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer service focus
Demonstrated commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Background in the construction industry is considered an asset

This is a full-time, permanent position based out of our Calgary head office: 5055 11th St NE, Calgary, Alberta
Standard hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
