POSITION OUTLINE:
Our accounting department is looking for an organized individual who excels at accuracy and pays attention to detail. If you are someone who likes working in a fast-paced, high volume, inventory-based environment, this position is for you.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Three-way match in a multi-currency environment
Invoice data entry (1000-1500 invoices per month)
Determine coding for invoices and ensure proper approvals
Solve invoice discrepancies
Process vendor payments (cheque, EFT, wires)
Address vendor inquires & resolve issues
Vendor statement reconciliation
Filing and other office duties as required
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of high school diploma
Post secondary business/accounting education is a definite asset
Minimum 2 years' full cycle accounts payable experience
Direct accounts payable experience in an inventory-driven environment is a definite asset
Working knowledge and ability of 3-way matching and full cycle accounts payable
Proficient computer skills, especially data-entry skills
Critical thinking skills with the ability to anticipate and solve problems
Well organized, with excellent time management skills
Ability to maintain attention to detail along with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to maintain an excellent service approach
