The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for processing payments to vendors in accordance with internal procedures. Responsibilities:
  • Match purchase orders / receipt registers to invoices
  • Enter data to the ERP system
  • Stamp and code paperwork with invoice information
  • Assign GL coding to invoices where required
  • Stamp and code paperwork with invoice information
  • Prepare invoices for payment by ACH, Cheque and Wire transfer
  • Manage approval requirements for various payment types
  • Process Wire Transfers in Royal Bank Express
  • Prepare all payments for payroll department that are not a part of the bi weekly payroll process
  • Maintain vendor banking information
  • Maintain vendor files
  • File and organize backup
  • Troubleshoot with branches and purchasers regarding GL codes and questions that arise regarding purchases and vendors
  • Maintain a good relationship with all vendors
  • Help accountants with paperwork needed for GL reconciliations
  • Assist in the training of other AP personnel in new SAP system
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with processing payments in various systems
  • Proven communication skills
  • Comfortable with MS Excel
  • Attention to detail and adherence to corporate procedures
  • Aptitude for numbers and strong quantitative skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Solid problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Must enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Well organized and self-motivated.
