Job Summary



West Coast Machinery Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our growing team. This role is responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing financial transactions, while also providing support at reception by assisting with incoming calls, greeting visitors, and helping ensure smooth day-to-day office operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP)



Verify, code, and enter invoices into accounting software

Sort and match credit card receipts with statements; follow up with purchasers for any missing receipts; enter/reconcile payables for Visa statements

Match vendor invoices to monthly statements and follow up on any missing invoices or approvals

Maintain vendor records and respond to vendor inquiries

Perform other accounts payable duties as assigned

Accounts Receivable (AR)



Process incoming payments from customers (credit card, cheque, electronic transfer)

Reconcile bank deposits and post payments to customer accounts

Provide updates to sales team regarding received payments

Perform other accounts receivable duties as assigned

Reception & Administrative Support



Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls

Provide backup coverage for front desk/reception

Assist with general administrative tasks (filing, data entry, scheduling, etc.)

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent - An associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting is an asset

2+ years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting

Reception or front-desk experience considered an asset

Proficient with Microsoft Excel and general accounting software

Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills

Professional appearance with a customer service-oriented approach

Ability to manage sensitive financial and personal information with discretion

Pay: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
