Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring an

Accounting Technician, Tax

, on a temporary basis on our Commodity Tax team (18 month term).


This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

.


This role is a great fit for a motivated team player who enjoys interacting and collaborating with many individuals who are working together for a common goal.


What you'll do:



Prepare and file monthly PST, GST, and ecology returns as well as respond to any queries from stakeholders. Handle correspondence between departments, retails, government, and ecology programs. Prepare IFTA reports and remittances based on fleet use in each province. Review new item set ups to ensure proper tax treatment by reviewing PST, GST, and ecology rates on government and other stakeholder's websites. Other duties as required.

You will work closely within a team of 5 and will report into the Commodity Tax Supervisor. Who you are:



You are looking for a career in Finance and:


Have 1 year of related accounting experience. Have a high school diploma and four (4) progressive financial accounting courses from an accredited post-secondary institution.
