:We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist. Based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the role involves handling various accounting functions in an office setting. The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and assisting with budgets.Responsibilities:

• Handle monthly financial statement preparation and distribution

• Oversee the reconciliation of accounts for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, SAP and Microsoft Excel

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets

• Ensure accuracy in check processing and billing functions

• Handle government remittances and ensure compliance

• Manage account reconciliation on a monthly basis

• Maintain and update accounts receivables systems on a weekly basis

• Generate monthly financial reports for review

• Respond to and resolve any discrepancies in financial records

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with SAP

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel

• Broad knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Understanding of Billing Functions and Check Processing

• Able to prepare Monthly Financial Statements and Reports

• Experience with Account Reconciliation and Financial Reconciliation

• Ability to handle Monthly Account Reconciliation

• Knowledge of Government Remittances

• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivables Systems

• Experience in Weekly Account Payable management
