We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Ottawa, Ontario. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in accounting processes. Responsibilities:

• Perform reconciliations for visa transactions and intercompany accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Manage high-volume accounts payable processes, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Prepare comprehensive sales summaries and provide supporting documents for supplier payments.
• Process credit card applications and handle related inquiries efficiently.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial reports and produce income statements.
• Oversee collections and billing activities to optimize cash flow.
• Handle visa statements and ensure proper documentation for financial records.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain the accuracy and integrity of accounting data.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems, including Sage 300 and ERP tools.
• Strong skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with processes such as accounts payable, payment processing, and payroll.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage high volumes of transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of financial services tools such as ADP, Ceridian, and Concur.
• Demonstrated ability to produce income statements and assist with year-end reporting.
