Accounting Manager candidates who are practical and have a knack for establishing and regulating an organization\'s accounting and finance procedures will find this position to be a good fit! This Accounting Manager role\'s duties will require taking charge of daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. This Accounting Manager position is a full time permanent role based in the Bracebridge, Ontario area. It will be a remote position.

What you get to do every day:

- Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

-You will be responsible for coaching, reviewing and preparing day-to-day work, including review and compilation engagements, and related tax returns.

-You would also be responsible for reviewing personal tax returns in the Spring, and staying on top of Canadian tax and accounting updates.

-Experience with Quickbooks and Caseware is an asset. Their team enjoys flexible working hours, paid overtime and time off in lieu during the summer.

-They have a relaxed and fun office culture with 10 independent and motivated team members.

-Ideal candidate would have 10+ years of public accounting experience.

- CPA or MBA preferred

- Well-founded grasp of Audit Workpapers

- General familiarity with Audited Financial Statements

- Earlier work involving Audit Reviews

- Strong familiarity with account reconciliation

- Proven knowledge of Reviews

- Comprehensive knowledge of Account Balance

- Account management experience

- Expertise in account analysis

- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

- Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
