Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting/Payroll Administrator will be responsible for executing full-cycle payroll processing, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with provincial and federal employment legislation, including CRA and Employment Standards regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
Process bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees in accordance with CRA guidelines
Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation
Administer deductions, benefits, garnishments, and year-end T4 processing
Support onboarding/offboarding payroll tasks including TD1, ROEs, and benefit enrollment
Accounting Functions:
Perform A/P and A/R functions including invoice processing and reconciliation
Support monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting tasks
Maintain vendor and employee records in accounting software
Auditing CASH expenses
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in payroll and bookkeeping
Diploma or certification in Accounting, Business Administration, or Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) from the National Payroll Institute preferred
Proficient in Canadian payroll legislation, CRA remittance procedures, and Employment Standards
Experience using accounting/payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
Advanced Excel and general MS Office proficiency
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
