We're seeking an experienced Financial & Office Manager to assist and lead our next chapter.
Overview
This is a key leadership role overseeing and performing daily financial operations, accounting functions, HR and benefit administration, Safety and IT coordination for our Saskatoon location. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills, and a track record of managing office and accounting functions in a unionized environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and budgets
Full understanding of debit/credit accounting and how it creates Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements
Oversee and perform daily accounting functions including AP, AR, payroll, cash flow, and job costing
Lead and mentor accounting support staff
Manage benefits, insurance programs, and HR administration
Support ERP systems and maintain fixed asset controls
Coordinate business, IT, phone and internet needs with helpdesk support
Chair monthly safety meetings ,represent management on the OHS committee and safety data administration with online programs ISNetworld, ComplyWorks and Avetta. Maintain training databases
Collaborate with Alberta branch offices
Member of the Senior Leadership Team
Provide expertise in policy and process development
Requirements and Skills
Accounting diploma or equivalent experience (minimum 5-10 years preferred)
Office management experience required
Proficiency in financial statements, budgeting, and payroll
Experience with Jonas Accounting Software and ERP systems is an asset
Skilled in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, CoPilot)
A comprehensive understanding or awareness of safety protocols across both oil and gas and manufacturing operations would be an asset
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
