About our Client

Our client, one of BC\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2 s top builders and developers of residential properties is currently looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to join their dynamic team in Surrey in a full-time permanent position. The working hours are from 9 am - 5 pm. In this role, you will be handling the company\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2 s payroll and budgeting reports, and generating complete financial status reports for the company\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x84\xa2 s top-level management. Responsibilities

• Taking care of all ledgers, accounts, and reporting systems.
• Closing the books at the end of each month for all active businesses.
• Ensuring that revenues, expenses, organizational budgets, and actual expenditures are all received
• Running P/L statements for particular jobs and job sites
• Creating performance reports
• Designing and reporting financial and operational benchmarks, budgets, and program monitoring
• Completing and filing of GST and WSBC on time
• Creating cash flow statements, profit, and loss reports, and using projections and actual data

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as an accountant in real estate
• Construction industry experience is preferred
• Must have knowledge of QuickBooks
• Must be able to operate accounting system independently
• Willing to work in a fast-paced office environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with team members
