Canadian Orthodontic Partners is looking for a full-time Accounting Manager to join our Support Services team in Etobicoke, ON. Canadian Orthodontic Partners provides support services to our national network of community-based orthodontic clinics, focused on delivering personalized treatment. Key Responsibilities:



Financial Reporting & Oversight

Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP/ASPE Oversee the consolidation of financial results for internal and external stakeholders Ensure accuracy and completeness of information used in financial reporting

Period-End Close & Audit Management

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processes, including close planning, reconciliations, and journal entries Prepare for and lead interim and annual external audits Assist in preparing materials for Audit Committee and other Board-level presentations

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Flow

Support the development of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts in collaboration with key departments Monitor cash flow trends and provide analysis and recommendations to optimize working capital

Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls

Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulatory requirements, and internal accounting policies Support senior leadership in developing and implementing a strong internal control framework

Team Leadership & Development

Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and professional growth Support succession planning and cross-training initiatives within the team

Systems & Process Optimization

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of accounting and finance systems Optimize ERP/accounting software to improve automation, accuracy, and efficiency Leverage systems to streamline inventory, accounts payable, and procurement processes

Collaboration & Strategic Support

Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and IT to align financial strategies and ensure data integrity Assist with researching new accounting standards and provide guidance on policy changes and disclosures

Ad Hoc Analysis & Reporting

Provide timely ad hoc reporting and financial insights to senior leadership Drive process improvements and financial transparency through analytics and reporting tools

Qualifications:



CPA designation 5 + years of experience in external reporting, month-end and year-end close Strong technical accounting knowledge with GAAP/ASPE Multi-site experience required Experience leading a team with direct reports Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and influencing skills with the ability to work both independently and in team environments Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment Excellent excel proficiency Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to drive process improvements and efficiencies
