Job title:
Accounting Manager (Remote)
Our client:
We are hiring on behalf of our client, a large and established organization operating in a regulated environment. The business supports a national footprint and continues to invest in strengthening its finance and treasury functions.
This is a fully remote role. Due to security and regulatory requirements, candidates must have been based in Canada for at least five years.
Principal tasks and responsibilities include:

• Ownership of month-end and year-end close and corporate reporting
• Preparation and review of monthly financial statements and reporting packages
• Review and posting of complex journal entries, including FX revaluations
• Completion and review of detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Support of year-end audit and coordination with external auditors
• Oversight of treasury operations, including bank reconciliations and cash reporting
• Preparation and monitoring of cash flow forecasts
• Documentation and improvement of close, reporting, and treasury processes
• Leadership and development of a small accounting team
• Partnership with Operations, Sales, and FP&A on ad hoc requests

Qualifications and pre-requisites: * CPA designation

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and/or treasury experience
• Experience in a supervisor or lead-level accounting role
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and close processes
• Experience with ERP systems; Great Plains or similar is an asset
• Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
• Must have lived and worked in Canada for at least five years
