We are currently looking to hire an Accounting Manager to oversee the accounting functions for our Group of Companies at Frontline Real Estate Services (\xe2\x80\x9cFrontline\xe2\x80\x9d). In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of financial management and analysis. Developing and managing best practice policies and procedures will be yours to own.

You will be relied on to produce thorough, comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points.

Primary responsibilities for the Accounting Manager position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
  • Guide financial decisions by applying best practice company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
  • Develop and monitor budgets with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
  • Help develop and support short and long-term operational financial strategies
  • Manage daily accounting operations, accounts payable/receivable
  • Manage payroll/benefit reconciliation/RRSP remittances
  • Prepare financial statements for quarterly and annual reporting and returns
  • Conduct forecast/budget and variance analysis
  • Monitor financial performance of the Group of Companies independently and collectively
  • Ongoing audit of best practice accounting policies and procedures, offer recommendations for improvement and champion the implementation of new processes
  • Undertake financial due diligence for potential acquisitions
  • Evaluate accounting and internal control systems
  • Recurring evaluations of the effectiveness of current accounting software and supporting database, as needed
  • Develop and monitor business performance metrics
  • Hire, train and retain skilled accounting staff
  • Implement, maintain and train FINTRAC Compliance program as FINTRAC Compliance Officer
Education / Qualifications / Experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, finance, or related field
  • Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant)
  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business Administration (MBA) is an asset
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting or financial management role with at least 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in human resources
  • Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
  • Working knowledge of provincial tax regulations and compliance reporting
  • Experience in managing payroll, with focus on streamlining accounting processes
  • Exceptional history of financial project management

Work Conditions
The successful candidate will work at Frontline\xe2\x80\x99s head office in Langley B.C. (free parking, onsite fitness centre, coffee station). Office hours are Monday \xe2\x80\x93 Friday 8:30 am \xe2\x80\x93 4:30 pm, however, due to the nature of the role, the candidate may be required to work extended hours as necessary.
