THE ROLE:
We are seeking an Accounting Manager to support a Non-Profit on a 3 - 6 month contract, with a strong opportunity to move into a permanent role. This Calgary area position requires a hands-on accounting professional with exceptional people skills, patience, and flexibility, who is comfortable working closely with multiple different stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Manage full-cycle accounting and month-end close
• Oversee banking, cash management, and reconciliations
• Prepare and support monthly and ad hoc financial reporting
• Support the Director of Finance & Administration as needed

Requirements:
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
• CPA designation
• Exceptional interpersonal skills - the right personality fit is critical (flexibility, patience, and professionalism in unique or sensitive situations)
• Intermediate Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP, basic formulas)
• Experience in non-profit, public sector, or community-focused organizations is a definite asset
• Familiarity with PSAS reporting is considered a plus
