Role Summary
We are looking for a key player to support our record label operations by managing artist and catalog financials with accuracy and transparency. You will be responsible for processing and reconciling royalties, tracking artist-related expenses, and preparing clear, timely royalty statements using Curve and related accounting systems. You will work with multiple teams including A&R, Marketing, and Operations to ensure financial data integrity across multiple labels and catalogs while supporting month end close, reporting, and audit readiness in a fast-paced music industry environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage artist accounting across multiple record label brands and catalogs
Process, ingest, and reconcile royalty statements using Curve and other systems
Track all artist-related financial activity (production, marketing, advances, etc.)
Prepare and distribute quarterly and bi-annual artist royalty reports
Maintain accurate records for masters, publishing, neighbouring rights, and related income streams
Support month end and year end accounting and reconciliation processes
Assist with catalog data updates, metadata integrity (ISRC, UPC, etc.) and audit readiness
Collaborate with A&R, Marketing, and Operations to ensure complete and correct financial data
Respond to internal team requests and support artists with statement-related inquiries
Identify discrepancies and work with internal/external partners to resolve them
Maintain organized, auditable files and documentation
Qualification & Skills
2+ years of royalty accounting experience, royalty administration, music industry finance, or related field
Experience with royalty software platform Curve
Familiarity with cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or similar)
Strong attention to detail and comfort handling large financial datasets
Solid understanding of recorded music and publishing royalty structures, including master, publishing and neighbouring rights
Excellent Spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously
Clear written and verbal communication
Proactive and organized mindset, with the ability to learn quickly
Understanding of digital distribution platforms and DSP reporting
Familiarity with metadata standards (ISRC, UPC, etc.)
Requirements
Ability to work full-time legally in Canada.

Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
