We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Accounting Coordinator

to support our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will support a range of general accounting and administrative tasks, focusing on transactional activities for the Account Payables and Accounts Receivables functions, applying accounting principles and practices with precision and discretion. As part of a small, growing organization, the role may also be tasked with general office administrative duties as required, making sure that nothing 'falls through the cracks.'

Responsibilities:



Accounts Payable

Review and process vendor invoices, match purchase orders and receipts, and ensure accurate payment scheduling Sort, batch, code, match and process data entry of all invoices Process AP transactions for approval Follow up with operational staff to resolve coding discrepancies Prepare & review weekly payment registers for approval Prepare cheque runs & manual cheques for all companies Track all outstanding invoices and review AP aging report Support credit card and employee reimbursement processing Process AP POs Maintain organized AP documentation, ensuring compliance with internal authorization policies Maintain new & existing vendor information Filing of all AP information
Accounts Receivable

Generate and process invoices for sales team Manage AR processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Post payments, apply cash and follow-up on outstanding balances Provide support for other AR tasks as required
Administrative Tasks

Support conference/tradeshow logistics Other administrative tasks supporting the team

Qualifications:



Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience Experience with QuickBooks Online a huge asset Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices including payables and receivables Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting, with a high degree of organization and maintaining confidentiality Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
