Accounting Coordinator
to join our expanding finance team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations and helps maintain the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of our financial data as the business continues to scale across Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and general ledger entries.
Process accounts payable and receivable; manage invoices, receipts, and payments.
Reconcile bank and credit card statements regularly.
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements for management review.
Support payroll processing and related documentation as needed.
Participate in governmental filings and compliance reporting under the direction of the Controller.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking.
Collaborate with the Controller and finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all financial processes.
Operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
Maintain clean, consistent, and accurate data entry in a regulated industry where precision is critical.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant.
Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar accounting software).
Skilled in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively under supervision while managing responsibilities independently.
Comfortable adapting to change and maintaining accuracy under pressure.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with governmental filings or compliance reporting.
Background in cost accounting or managerial accounting principles.
Compensation
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $68,000 annually, depending on experience.
