Accounting Clerk

We are currently seeking an Administrative Assistant/Accounts Clerkto join our talented team.
Position Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing administrative support to our operations. Administration -

  • Perform administrative support tasks - provide general data entry support, prepare reports, order office supplies, maintain manual and computerized information filing systems and maintain reception area.
  • Assist with regular filing and office organization.
Accounts Payable -
  • Receive, review, and accurately code and process vendor invoices for payment in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Process cheque requests and expense reports on a regular basis
  • Audit and process credit card bills
Accounts Receivable -
  • Receive and track customer purchase orders, and assist with customer invoicing
  • Receive and process incoming accounts receivable payments; check for discrepancies in payments received
. Skills and Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in a busy office environment
  • Strong computer skills and ability to operate general office equipment
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook), and knowledge of accounting software (Sage)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and French required
