Job Description



Job Overview: As an Accounting Clerk with a primary focus on data entry and accounts payable responsibilities, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organization. Your meticulous attention to detail and dedication to accuracy will contribute to the smooth operation of our accounting department, enabling us to make informed financial decisions and support the overall success of the company. At present, this is a temporary position covering a maternity leave until October 2024, with the possibility for permanent employment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry:
    • Accurately entering financial data into accounting software and databases.
    • Verifying the completeness and correctness of data to ensure the integrity of financial records.
    • Maintaining organized records and documentation of financial transactions.
    • Collaborating with team members to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial data.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Managing the accounts payable process, including receiving, reviewing, and processing invoices.
    • Ensuring that all invoices are approved and paid in a timely manner.
    • Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies as needed.
    • Communicating with vendors and internal stakeholders to address payment inquiries and issues.

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • The ability to follow instructions and complete tasks with diligence.
  • Self-motivation and results-oriented approach to work.
  • An upbeat, positive, and team-oriented nature.
  • Experience with Windward or Business Central ERP systems considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
