Red Deer Dodge is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk!

The Accounting Clerk team member has a key administrative role within our Admin Department. Working alongside the Controller and interdepartmentally as a team player promoting the dealership success. This position requires a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks to ensure deadlines are met.
Our candidate must have the ability to work Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Remuneration: $20-25 per hour based on experience (equivalent to $41,600 - $52,000 annually).
Job Duties:

• Input payable invoices and reconcile supplier statements
• Prepare monthly cheque run, and credit card payments.

• Issue cheques per requisitions (referrals, cash back, and lien payouts, etc.).

• Process New & Used Retail car deals.

• Receipt EFT payments.

• Month End Schedule Reconciliations.
• Work within established accounting guidelines, company policy, and procedures.
• Provide daily lunch time reception relief as required.

• General Payables, Receivables, and Deal filing.

• Maintenance and reconciliation of payable and receivable general ledger accounts.
• Prepare files for scanning and check scanning for accuracy as requested.

• Order dealership office supplies.
• Must maintain a professional appearance.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as required.
Successful Candidates Possess:

• Minimum 1-3 years relevant experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required

• CDK Experience an asset

• Flexibility to work overtime hours on the first and second business day of each month, to complete month-end process

• Strong Communication, Organization, and Problem-Solving Skills

• Ability to multi-task in fast paced work environment

• Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures preferred

• Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.

Must be willing to submit a background check prior to employment
