Robert Half is looking to hire an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary position based in the Ottawa, Ontario area. Do you enjoy being part of a team-oriented environment? This is with an admired organization that is still in the process of expanding.What you get to do every single day:- Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers- Organize documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes- Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources- Aid Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing- Work with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, help with collection of past due balance, and process daily invoices/credit- Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects- Square up discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is ideal, but not required- Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)- Accounts Payable (AP) experience preferred- Comprehensive knowledge of account reconciliation- Adeptness in Invoice Processing- Billing experience- General familiarity with Oracle- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel- SAP experience highly preferred- Data entry experience highly desired- Practical knowledge of QuickBooks- Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferredRobert Half is the world\'s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
