Job Description

Our long-standing client in Halifax is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to provide temporary support to their team. This contract role has an immediate start and offers flexibility: the successful candidate can work in-office in downtown Halifax, on a hybrid schedule, or fully remote. This opportunity is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:

• Process and manage accounts payable
• Process accounts receivable transactions
• Maintain accurate financial records, including data entry and reconciliation
• Assist with month-end closing and reporting as needed
• Support the accounting team with general clerical and administrative tasks

Experience & Attributes for Success:

• Proven skills and experience in AP/AR or general accounting support
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Able to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines
• Professional communication skills and a proactive approach
