Robert Half is looking for a qualified Accounting Clerk to maintain the day-to-day functions in a department. The Accounting Clerk will chiefly be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). How you will make an impact
-Post financial information to journals and ledgers
-Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
-Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
-Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
-Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
-Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
-Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
Requirements:
-AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
-Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested
-1+ years of relevant experience
-Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
-Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing
-General familiarity with Oracle
-Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
-Data entry experience highly desired
-Accounts Payable (AP) experience
-Quality experience with SAP
-Foundational knowledge in billing
-Practical knowledge of QuickBooks
-Account reconciliation experience desired
-Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
