:Robert Half is looking for a qualified Accounting Clerk to maintain the day-to-day functions in a department. The Accounting Clerk will chiefly be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary employment based in the Greely, Ontario area.How you will make an impact-Post financial information to journals and ledgers-Overall accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects-Arrange documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes-Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing-Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources-Mend discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required-Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balanceRequirements:-AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred-Spreadsheet and ERP system experience suggested-1+ years of relevant experience-Ability to multitask and meet deadlines-Proven knowledge of Invoice Processing-General familiarity with Oracle-Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)-Data entry experience highly desired-Accounts Payable (AP) experience-Quality experience with SAP-Foundational knowledge in billing-Practical knowledge of QuickBooks-Account reconciliation experience desired-Well-founded grasp of Microsoft Excel
