Accounting Clerk - Hospitality, Food & Beverage
Georgian Communities is currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to oversee the Hospitality and Food and Beverage accounting.
REPORTS TO
VP, Finance
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Update and maintain financial records, prepare reports and reconcile bank statements and credit cards.
• Utilize accounting software programs, such QuickBooks, Tee-On, Touch Bistro, to process accounts payable and receivables, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts.
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
• Ensure accounts are reconciled accurately and in a timely manner.
• Data entry of financial transactions.
• Provide assistance and support to hospitality team.
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
• Compile reports/summaries on activity areas and report findings to management on a weekly basis.
• Develop and ensure compliance of internal financial controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts Receivable Clerk (https://resources.workable.com/accounts-receivable-clerk-job-description) or Accounts Payable Clerk (https://resources.workable.com/accounts-payable-clerk-job-description)
• Familiarity with bookkeeping (https://resources.workable.com/bookkeeper-job-description) and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in MS Office, and accounting software
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks.
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Well organized
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.
• Successful reference and background check.
