The Accounting Assistant/ Office Administrator will support accounting functions such as assisting in the day-to-day management of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, and relevant regulations. Additionally, the candidate will assist in other office administrative duties as needed.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded at.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory compliance documentation.
Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy in cash flow management.
Prepare and manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist with audits.
Assist with payroll support, processing, and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
General Ledger maintenance.
Financial Data Entry and Account Analysis.
Job Order Costing Analysis and Tracking / Inventory costing and management.
Tax Filing and Compliance.
Assist with Financial Reporting.
Assist with office administration.
Assist with compilation and review engagement.
Help assist expense tracking for operations.
Help assist in company cost allocation.
Assist in file sorting.
Assist in ordering office supplies and materials.
Assistance in some group
Benefits administration as needed.
Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience in accounting or finance roles (1-3 years preferred).
Familiarity with accounting software such as Quickbooks.
Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
