Responsibilities
As an Accounting and Office Administrator, you will be on a team with our Senior Accountant and assist in executing A/R, A/P, Payroll, Inventory, Financial Statements, Invoicing, Contract Review and Sales Admin Support activities. You will also enjoy dealing with internal and external stakeholders for day-to-day office activities. Your expertise will be used to assist us in preparing quarterly financial statements, conduct Project Analysis, Profitability Analysis and Process/System Improvement initiatives.
Additional details include:
Being the "face" and "voice" of the company
Working with the Senior Accountant and the General Manager on identifying areas of improvements and initiating resolutions
Working with Account Managers, Operations Manager and staff on improving processes and efficiencies
Reviewing and executing contract requirements, cash flow, progress draws, supplier/customer payments and other financial obligations
Various Reporting responsibilities including Sales, WIP, Forecasts, Cash Flow, etc.
Assist in payroll and HR Administration on behalf of all staff including new hires, staff statuses, personnel records, government filings and documentation.
Identifying and executing contract documents with statutory declarations as required
Be the initial contact and responsibility for office related issues
Requirements
As the Accounting and Office Administrator, you bring a positivity to our workplace and possess exceptional communication, listening and organizational skills. General requirements include:
College or university diploma/degree related to Business Administration or Accounting
Ability to pass a reference or background check
1 to 3 years of experience working in a private business in an office administration and accounting/bookkeeping role dealing with contracts
Experience with industries such as architecture, interior design, general contracting, construction, signage, graphics, marketing, facilities management, etc. would be an asset
Experience in office administration from ordering supplies to assisting in creating proposals
Computer Skills - Quickbooks, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook
Fluent English - reading, writing and speaking
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
