Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant for a contract role in Cochrane. This position supports key accounting functions including invoice processing, financial entries, and record management.
Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and enter cash receipts accurately.
  • Submit billing documents and maintain organized financial records.
  • Transfer tax certificate batches and manage installment plan applications.
  • Support cash receipt processing (Moneris) and other financial system operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with Microsoft Dynamics GP and other accounting tools as needed.
Requirements:
Requirements:
  • 1+ year of accounting or related experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiar with AP/AR processes and financial record-keeping.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and experience with financial systems (preferably Dynamics GP).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently.
