Kostiw Construction is a local construction company dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and on budget. We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable individual to join our accounting team. This is an entry-level position with opportunity to grow in both hours and responsibilities. Currently the job ranges from 20-40 hours per week.
Currently Kostiw Construction is renovating the office space and therefore the position is work from home until ready. Once ready it will move to onsite.
Must be available to work between daytimes Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Initially (Remote Work From Home To Start):
Perform basic data entry and uploads into our accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
Assist with simple bookkeeping tasks as needed
Process accounts payable and prepare vendor payments
Generate and send customer invoices
Assist with payroll entry and calculations
Reconcile accounts and assist with weekly reports
Support the accounting team with other administrative tasks as needed
As Role Develops (Transition to Office):
Light reception duties as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary accounting/finance courses an asset.
Must pass criminal record screening.
Must be available daytimes Monday to Friday.
Basic familiarity with accounting software (training can be provided)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Typing 60 words per minute minimum
Training in MS Office Including: Word, Excel, Teams. Knowledge of Google Drive/Google programs is an asset.
Reliable home office setup (phone, internet) for remote work. Some office equipment may be provided which will then move to the Paramount office.
Willingness to learn, and ability to be flexible and adapt as role expands
Due to the sensitive nature of some of the work, the successful applicant will need to pass a criminal record screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bookkeeping or accounts payable experience
Knowledge of payroll processing and government remittances
Experience doing office work for a trades/construction company

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
