About the Role



The Accounting & Payroll Instructor will teach and guide students through our comprehensive

Accounting and Payroll Administration Diploma

program. You'll help students develop a strong foundation in accounting principles, payroll compliance, bookkeeping, and software applications such as QuickBooks and Sage.

You will play an active role in preparing students for success in both the classroom and their practicum placements.

Key Responsibilities



Deliver engaging lectures, demonstrations, and discussions (in-person and online) Teach core topics such as financial accounting, payroll compliance, Excel for accounting, bookkeeping, and tax fundamentals Support students with hands-on learning and practical assignments Assess student performance, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback Ensure lessons align with CHBC curriculum outcomes and PCC (Private Career College) standards Maintain attendance and academic records in Moodle and other systems Communicate effectively with staff, administration, and students to ensure student success Support students in developing job-ready skills and professionalism for practicum and employment

Qualifications



Diploma or degree in

Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)

or

CPA designation

is an asset Minimum

2 years of professional accounting or payroll experience

1-2 years

teaching or training experience

(college or adult education) Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills Comfortable using digital tools such as Moodle, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office

Pay: $46,562.26-$87,254.99 per year

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
