About the Position
We are looking for a dynamic person with the ability to wear many different hats and grow with the company. This position is responsible for a broad range of tasks related to Human Resources and Accounting.
Duties:
- Complete new hire packages.
- Maintain staff and subcontractor records and appropriate filing system for the storage of all required documents.
- Weekly payroll for staff and subtrades.
- Coordinate and distribute vacation schedules.
- Act as liaison between President, Vice President, Office Manager, subcontractors, and staff.
- Coordinate special events.
- Maintain intranet site with relevant documents and postings, as required.
- Ensure compliance with local laws, including Occupational Health & Safety, WSIB clearances, WHIMIS training,
- Maintain records regarding access to and use of company resources including phones, computers, keys, account access, and vehicles in partnership with other departments.
- Assist with keeping track of, organizing, and updating company records and documents.
- Post freight bills, Visa bills, and HST remittances.
- Follow claims procedures to ensure claims are submitted and credited.
- Prepare a variety of memos, correspondence, and reports, as required.
- Develop a variety of administrative systems and procedures to enhance efficiencies within the department.
- General administrative tasks such as filing, invoicing, mailing statements, data entry and analysis, deposits, and other projects as they arise.
- Provide excellent service to both colleagues, subcontractors, and external customers.
- Answer phones and provide requested information or direct callers to correct point of contact.
- Help maintain a clean and safe working environment including public and private areas of the stores.
- Develop and cultivate strong relationships internally, and with external partners, sales representatives, and other supplier representatives.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- High school diploma required
- Post secondary education preferred
- 2-3 years administrative or office experience preferred
- Bondable, basic security clearance & criminal record check
- Ability to travel locally and internationally for additional training
Salary & Benefits:
