Position Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive
Accounting and A/R Administrator
to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this hands-on role is responsible for overseeing the company's accounts receivable, cash receipts, and banking functions, while supporting month-end and year-end financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Process daily customer invoices, deposits, and payments (cash, cheque, electronic).
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies.
Manage the company's EDI system to ensure invoices are processed and issues resolved.
Open new customer accounts, perform credit checks, and maintain accurate credit documentation.
Monitor aged receivables, follow up with customers, and maintain collections tracking.
Prepare reporting on receivables and collections matters.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow forecasting.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
Provide back-up support to other members of the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications:
2+ years of accounts receivable, banking, or other accounting experience.
Certificate or diploma in accounting or office administration is an asset.
Strong computer skills, especially Excel and MS Office.
Experience using an ERP is considered an asset.
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Experience working with multiple currencies is an asset.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
