Job Description

United Sport & Cycle is seeking a permanent Full-Time Accounting Administrator team member to join our Finance Department. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the successful candidate will have accounting experience with strong Excel, reconciliation & problem-solving skills. The ability to work in both a team environment and autonomously with strong attention to detail is essential, including being part of our larger 'Team United' to hel19p out where needed on really busy days. We are looking for someone who is wanting to start their next permanent role as part of our United Family. You will be fully engaged with many different accounting tasks and opportunities to learn new skills.Who YOU are:
You are a team player who enjoys digging into the details, doing administrative data entry including cash recs, payables, solving queries and being self-motivated while consistently looking for ways to improve processes. You enjoy a fun team environment and going above & beyond for your internal or external customers.The role is Permanent Full-time, Mon to Fri, 8 hours a days.Main Duties:

• Daily cash and account reconciliation
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Vendor and Customer reconciliations
• Month end reconciliations
• Assist with filing
• Ad hoc reporting
• Backup/cross training with the other Finance areas as required

What You Possess:

• Minimum 2 years of accounting/data entry experience with an emphasis on reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Experience in Cash/Day End 'Retail' reconciliations (an asset)
• Experience with Financing loan programs for customers. (an asset)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word & Excel)
• Experience with QuickBooks desktop (an asset)
• Proven problem solver
• Strong attention to detail
• Accurate data input
• Efficient time management and the ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, changing priorities and last-minute changes
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with people, able to work independently as well as co-operatively on a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
