We are seeking an experienced

Accountant

to join our in-office team in Victoria, BC. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentoring junior staff, is detail-oriented, and has a passion for leveraging accounting software to streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities

Post operational journal entries and support reconciliation processes. Prepare and contribute to working paper files and draft financial statements. Contribute to notated budget vs. actual analyses and reports. Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Jump in to assist with projects and support of junior staff as needed. Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3-5 years Canadian accounting or bookkeeping experience. CPA designation or working toward it is an asset. Strong knowledge of debits, credits, and working paper file preparation. Proficiency in

Sage 50

and

Microsoft Excel

; comfort with software is an asset. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Self-starter with the ability to adapt and contribute wherever needed. Completely fluent in English, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, reviewed annually to ensure competitiveness.
