Accountant contract opportunity starting immediately in Toronto, Ontario!

Robert Half is looking for a stellar Accountant with 2-3+ years of experience for a new role located in Toronto, Ontario. This Accountant position is a contract opportunity with an immediate start date, and will require you to work hybrid (2-3 days in office) in downtown Toronto. If you have prior Accounting experience and working knowledge of a large ERP system, this might be the perfect next role for you!

Major responsibilities will include:
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- Audit preparation, liaising with external auditors, and pulling samples (AP, Logistics)
- Financial analysis
- Working with shipping team for documentation to support audits
- Month-end closing
- Balance sheets
- Reconciliations
- Posting to the G/L

- Minimum of 2-3 years of solid Accounting experience required
- Experience using a large ERP system mandatory (ie. Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle)
- Strong technical and analytical skills required
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or related; preference for those who are actively pursuing their CPA
