What\'s this role about? As an Accountant at Auvik, you\'ll help the finance team with the ongoing administration of Auvik\'s global entities and accounting processes. Reporting to the Reporting and Controls Manager, this role plays a key role on the finance team. What will I be doing?
  • Work closely with the finance operations team to ensure accuracy of the accounts receivable and accounts payable postings for Auvik
  • Post entries to the general ledger following IFRS
  • Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations for monthly financial statements
  • Support Reporting and Controls Manager with monthly financial statement close process
  • Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the budget to support cost forecasts and budgets
  • Provide back-up for the Senior Payroll Specialist with various tasks such as processing semi-monthly payroll, incentive process, stock option and common share administration
  • Support Senior Payroll Specialist in completing month-end tasks such as payroll accruals and reconciliations, data verification and analysis
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen and maintain internal controls
  • Support the annual audits by providing backup documentation as requested by external audit team
  • Represent the best interest of the Finance team for any system implementations, integrations or projects
  • Supporting finance partners in process documentation identifying gaps, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvements
What are we looking for?
  • Post secondary education in accounting, finance or business & admin.
  • CPA designation (complete or in process)
  • Hands on experience in corporate accounting, preferably in a multi-entity environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong time management, problem solving, and organizational skills including the capacity to perform detailed analysis while understanding border context and implications
  • A business partner that can communicate effectively verbally and in writing at all organizational levels
  • Able to work independently and within cross-functional teams, managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
