Accountant Contract Opportunity starting immediately in Toronto, Ontario!

We are urgently seeking an Accountant with 5+ years of experience for an exciting new role located in downtown Toronto, Ontario. This role has an immediate start data and will begin as a 1-2 month contract, with potential to turn permanent based on fit/performance. If you have a strong background in full-cycle Accounting, along with previous experience using QuickBooks, this might be the perfect next role for you. Major responsibilities will include:
- Month-end - Reconciliations of GL accounts to cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and intercompany transactions
- Processing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Process deposit and payments by cheques and electronic payments, obtain appropriate approvals
- Maintain filing of documentation and invoices
- Administer payroll including monthly processing, source deductions remittances, and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly/quarterly HST returns and filings

- 5+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience using QuickBooks required
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate-level Excel
- Strong reconciliations experience
