*Accountant
*Fast Genetics is currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a full-time Accountant position
based out of our Saskatoon office. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Accounting and
Finance.This position will include the following responsibilities and day-to-day functions, but is not
limited to:

• Manage the day-to-day full cycle accounting including A/R and A/P processes, general

ledger working papers, and capital assets.

• Preparing financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.

• Establishing relationships with the sales team and reviewing client contracts

• Ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements.

• Participate in the annual audit process

• Assisting in the preparation of budgets and long-term forecasting models.

• Preparing compliance documents and schedules for stakeholders

• Preparation of ad hoc company financial analysis as requested by management

• Coordinating with members of the finance team to improve financial procedures and

streamline processes.

• Assisting with improvements to internal controls.

The successful candidate would ideally possess the following experience and qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Accounting; Enrolled in and working towards completion of a

professional accounting designation would be considered an asset.

• 3+ years of experience in an accounting environment.

• Advanced Excel skills.

• Experience with accounting programs such as Oracle and Great Plains would be considered

an asset.

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.

• Capability to work both independently and cross-functionally in an autonomous work

environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
