We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to join our Finance Team.

Who you are

You are an Accountant/Bookkeeper with QuickBooks Online expertise looking to grow your accounting skills and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. You will assist with various accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations while supporting the overall financial health of the company. The ideal candidate is a 2nd- or 3rd-level CPA student, or a career bookkeeper looking for a long-term, stable position.

About the Role

Assist with any of the following activities as and when required:

Process Payroll Bi-Weekly for Hourly and Salary employees Carry out Accounts Payable and Receivable Transactions: invoice processing, payment scheduling, and customer billing while ensuring accuracy and timely entry into accounting, billing, and inventory systems Reconcile Bank and Credit Card Statements: complete regular reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies promptly Oversee Collections Activities: monitor outstanding receivables, follow up with clients on overdue balances, and implement appropriate collection procedures Conduct Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Closings: support the closing processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial records are complete and accurate Prepare and File Government Remittances: accurately calculate and submit tax remittances, including GST/HST, and other required filings in compliance with government regulations Conduct Financial Analysis and Reporting: prepare internal financial reports and summaries, analyze variances and trends, and provide insights to support management decision-making Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders

Key Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or similar fields Expertise in QuickBooks Online Experience with Account and Bank Reconciliations, Payroll, Accounts Payables Understanding of corporate finance principles and practices Strong analytical skills for conducting account analysis and financial auditing Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively within a Team environment while managing multiple tasks
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 24 per week
