As part of the Finance team, the Accountant will support with bookkeeping, account reconciliation and financial reporting. The role is responsible for a variety of accounting duties including but not limited to ERP account administration, fixed asset administration, journal entries, reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Intercompany transactions and accruals.



Duties and Responsibilities

Cores Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Controller, the Accountant will be responsible for the following:

Maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts. Managing and recording daily transactions Preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reports Financial statement preparation and analysis Cost accounting and variance analysis Treasury and cash management including bank reconciliations Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets Maintaining and reconciling fixed assets schedules Identifying opportunities for process improvement Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making Managing and processing invoices payable

Mandatory Requirements

Years of Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting Software/System Experience: Proficient Microsoft Office 365 skills Skills and Abilities: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong understanding of accounting principles Demonstrated analytical, organizational and planning skills Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline driven fast paced environment Impeccable time management Desire to continually be educated in the requirements of the position

Nice to Have

Working towards CPA designation Experience with AS400 Accounts Payable experience
