We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain
financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
Manage
corporate and personal tax return filings
in compliance with CRA regulations
Support
payroll processing
and ensure timely remittances
Conduct
account analysis, financial audits, and variance reviews
Assist in
budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
for clients
Provide support for
corporate finance activities
and advisory projects
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, laws, and regulations
Use accounting software such as
Xero, QuickBooks, and CaseWare
to manage client files efficiently
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in
Accounting, Finance, or related field
2+ years of relevant experience
in public practice or corporate accounting
Solid knowledge of
GAAP, Canadian tax laws, and compliance standards
Proficiency in
Xero, QuickBooks, CaseWare, or other accounting software
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent
time management
and
organizational abilities
Effective communication skills and ability to work with clients directly
Working towards or holding a
CPA designation
(asset, but not mandatory)
Experience
Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
Experience with account analysis, financial auditing, and financial services
Proficiency in using accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Pay: $41,310.88-$75,777.74 per year
