Job Description
Our client, a non-profit is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their busy team. Located centrally in Calgary, the ideal candidate will have 10+ years progressive experience and be skilled in the areas of full cycle accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial statement preparation. Those who have used Sage software will be given preference.
Reporting to the Executive Director, duties will include but not be limited to;
- Preparation of the monthly financial statements accurately and distribution to the Executives
- Monitor of expense claims ensuring compliance with internal policies
- Tracking invested assets performance in accordance with investment guidelines
- Preparation of working papers and the coordinate of the annual audit process
- Preparation of the annual budgets for internal divisions
- Budget review and recommendations
- Review of annual financial statements
- Acting point of contact when Executive Director is absent
- Sit in on finance committee as required
- Monitor cash flow
- Maintenance of internal controls, revenue, costs, program budgets and actual expenditures
