We are a well-established group of courier companies located on Annacis Island, and are currently looking for an experienced full-cycled accountant to join our team.

We are committed to providing reliable delivery services for large freight shipments, medical supplies, pharmaceuticals, and small e-commerce packages across lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Our mission is to ensure timely and efficient transportation solutions while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.

Required duties for the accountant position are as follow:

Review, verify, code, and enter invoices into Sage 50 for two our our companies. Prepare semi-monthly cheque runs to ensure invoices are paid before due dates, this includes payment by cheques, EFT and credit card Perform month-end payables closing duties to ensure all AP invoices are entered before month-end cutoff Review vendor statements to ensure all AP invoices are entered Investigate any abnormal AP balance Review and process intercompany AP entries and staff reimbursements Maintain new and existing vendor information Communicate with vendors and respond to vendor inquiries Complete vendor credit applications Process owner operator payments for two companies twice a month Prepare year-end T4A slips for contractors Bi-weekly payroll journal entries and accrual for our group of companies Month-end closing and accrual Bank and credit card reconciliation Update lease and ICBC files Prepare inter-company lease billing invoice once a month Covering staff vacation Other duties assigned by VP Finance

Qualifications:

Three to five years full-cycled accounting experience

Multi-company accounting experience would be an asset

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

Proficiency with MS Excel including vlookup and pivot table

Detail-oriented, deadline sensitive

Strong analytical mind

Good time management and organizational skills

Able to keep information confidential

Sage 50 experience will be an asset to this role

At least an accounting diploma

Proactive and a good work ethic.
