Accountant

to join our team and contribute to the financial success of our growing construction business. This role is ideal for someone who combines technical expertise with strong leadership and business insight.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Develop, implement, and maintain accounting systems that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with applicable laws and standards. Prepare accurate financial statements and reports to support executive decision-making. Lead cash flow management and forecasting strategies to optimize financial performance. Manage financial audits and liaise with external auditors, clients, and stakeholders. Provide mentorship and leadership to accounting staff, supporting a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Analyze financial data to identify areas for efficiency improvements and cost savings.

Qualifications & Skills

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation (or in the process of obtaining). Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, AccountEdge) and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in managerial accounting, ideally within the construction or related industry. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Proven leadership ability and a collaborative approach.
