Position Summary

Our growing firm is looking to add a key member to our team. As an Accountant you will be responsible for all aspects of the engagement, from planning to completion.

Role and Responsibilities

Conduct compilation, review, audit, and tax engagements

Prepare financial statements and corresponding notes

Compute taxes owed and prepare personal and corporate tax returns

Prepare other compliance filings (T3, T4, T5, T5013, T5018, GST, etc.)

Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency

Develop and maintain trusted client relationships including responding to client questions and inquiries

Contribute to development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes

Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting

Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Accounting Standards for Private Enterprise (ASPE) and Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO)

Dedication to proactive thinking, integrity, precision execution and providing value-focused service

Experience with accounting and tax software such as CaseWare, TaxCycle, Sage and QuickBooks considered an asset

Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation considered an asset
