Position Overview:

We are looking for a talented, energetic individual with a dedication to quality to join our growing Accounting team in Burnaby, B.C. The ideal candidate will have exposure and experience to full-cycle accounting environments and will be a versatile professional ready and able to assist in all tasks assigned as needed.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger Prepare and record bank and month-end journal entries. Prepare accounts reconciliations on monthly basis. Monthly Delivery of P&L with analysis to management Quarterly development of quarterly financials for management review (and eventual board delivery) + Inclusive of P&L, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cashflow Development of cashflow projections aligned with revenue and spend trends Monthly analysis of inventory transactions and reporting on key trends Process Biweekly payroll and record and update R&D employee hours Additional general accounting support for the existing team, inclusive of AR and AP support.

Qualifications:

4-6 years experience in the full-cycle accounting environment Knowledge of SAP and QuickBooks MS Excel at intermediate level College diploma or degree in accounting Previous experience in accounting or other related fields Fundamental knowledge of GAAP Experience with current computer accounting programs and reporting tools Detail and deadline-oriented Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Financial analysis abilities Troubleshooting skills and multitasking ability Excellent English business communication skills

The pay range for this role is:

75,000 - 85,000 CAD per year(Canadian HQ)
