Under the same ownership since 1988, our company is preparing to implement a significant growth strategy and is looking for an Accountant to join our Finance team.
This role will be based out of our Belleville location. The salary range for this position is $45,000 - 60,000 annually.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
  • Recording all business transactions, processing accruals, and adjustments, reconciling accounts, and preparing monthly accounting statements.
  • Completing daily bank reconciliations and bank transfers, as needed.
  • Completing bank spreadsheets, month-end journal entries, sales and rental accruals, and analyzing all balance sheet items.
  • The Accounts Receivable function, including posting daily deposits, credit card transactions, daily bank reconciliations, payment transfers, and invoicing.
  • The Accounts Payable function, including invoice tracking and processing, and preparing weekly payments.
  • Preparing all required monthly and quarterly reporting as necessary.
  • Assisting with year-end journal entries and documentation for external auditing.
  • Collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of information for reporting purposes.
  • Communicating with vendors and customers using telephone, and email, as required.
  • Processing and recording all credit card transactions.
  • Preparing ad-hoc accounting reports and analyses.
  • Managing, verifying, and tracking inventory, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of three (3) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a fast-paced accounting role/environment
  • Completion of a College Diploma in Accounting or another related equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Superior attention to detail amidst deadlines.
  • Superior problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and information quickly.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
