Job Overview



We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Operations Accountant and Office Manager.

The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting and office management skills, with a solid understanding of accounting practices and payroll, while also managing the office and dealing with member enquiries and accounts, in person and by phone.

This role is crucial in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and tips/gratuity payments, while supporting the management and administration team at the golf club itself.

Duties



Manage accounts receivable and payable Perform account reconciliations to maintain accuracy in financial reporting. Utilize Xero for accounting records Utilize Lightspeed POS system for sales reports Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions. Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant laws. Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial data. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review. Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation. Assist golf club members with membership and account enquiries, in person and by phone Order office supplies as necessary Assist the GM and other department heads with day-to-day administration tasks

Experience



Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar accounting role. Proven experience managing an office Proficiency in Xero Strong understanding of accounts receivable, payable, payroll and reconciliation processes Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment during the 'on' season, slightly slower paced during the 'off' season Strong analytical skills to identify discrepancies and provide possible solutions. Willingness to learn Willingness to undertake other duties in other departments, if necessary
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
