As a recognized leader within Healthcare Security, GardaWorld is recruiting for a Healthcare Account Manager for our contract at Shared Health Manitoba. Bring your healthcare security expertise to GardaWorld for an interesting and rewarding career!

What you'll be doing

• Acting as the primary contact between GardaWorld, Shared Health MB, other healthcare partners and supporting agencies.
• Ensure GardaWorld staff effectively delivers our healthcare security program, while ensuring KPI's and deliverables are met.
• Gather and analyse information and provide regular reports to Shared Health MB management and GardaWorld.
• Consults with, and act as a resource to, front line hospital staff, site leadership and other internal and external stakeholders relating to security and protection issues.
• Provide training, coaching, mentoring and supervision of GardaWorld security staff assigned to Shared Health Manitoba in support of a safe and secure environment of care.
• Lead by example, an empathetic culture of a patient centric and customer focused service.
• Monitor, evaluate and make recommendations regarding security program management including the development and maintenance of security plans, policies, and procedures.
• Provides on-going quality assurance of daily security operations and ensures the healthcare training program remains up to date and relevant to the evolving needs of the hospital.
• Ensure that site security officers have completed all training requirements of the site, and that regular training intervals have been established to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Participate in on-site risk and threat assessments and implement measures to mitigate risk of harm to both security and clinical staff, patients, and others on site.
• Development and implementation of new procedures and approaches to safety, workplace violence reduction and loss prevention based on the analysis of security reporting.
• In collaboration with the Security Site Supervisor, conduct on-going performance evaluations of security staff deployed to Shared Health MB.
• Other duties, activities and reports as assigned by the Regional GardaWorld Management Team.

What we're looking for

• Professional certification or designation (i.e.: CHPA or CPP or the ability to obtain within 1 year) and/or specialized training in Healthcare Security, Security, Emergency Management, Occupational Health and Safety / Risk Management
• Diploma or Degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement, Business Administration or other related discipline
• 3+ years related experience in healthcare security or related discipline
• 2 years of supervision / managerial experience
• Demonstrable, high levels of professional and ethical conduct in all interactions with clients, staff and employees
• Strong leadership qualities and networking abilities
• Ability to work flexible hours
