SPM Oil and Gas provides superior products and service solutions to Oil & Gas customers in upstream, production, transportation, refining and related industries. The team works hard to create lifelong customer relationships, supplying comprehensive product & service solutions for the Oil & Gas industry and setting the standard for excellence in the segment.

Responsibilities for Outside Sales Representative

  • Travel to customer sites to represent the company and achieve the assigned goal. Have responsibility for managing his/her specified customer(s) including the Account Planning process.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with in depth understanding of their strategy and needs to refine propositions to extract the full economic value, further, execute account plan(s) for his/her specified customer(s) by developing propositions to maximize value creation and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute the account plan for specified customers including building up an opportunities pipeline to close sales in line with plan and implementing pricing policies to ensure maximum.
  • Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. A thorough and wide ranging knowledge of current and potential markets, market dynamics and pricing policy is essential.
  • Manage and direct the account team including, Order Progressing, Technical Services and Credit Management activities and implementing initiatives to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Contribute to the demand forecasting process, owning the preparation of the budget for his/her specific geographical market.
Communicates with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs, identifies and suggests products or services to meet those needs * Maintain a professional company image at all times
  • Build strong and successful relationships with clients. Be an overall point of contact with the customer managing the core and wider account team in order to create a defined route for the customer sales portfolios and customer account packs.
  • Recommend improvements to boost performance to the sales team and Monitor market conditions in relation to competitors
  • Deal with various technology and equipment to fulfill the job requirements
BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:

Degree qualified in either Manufacturing or Business discipline. Post graduate qualification in a Commercial / Sales related discipline.

It is essential that the jobholder has highly developed leadership and influencing skills, capable of being used with customers, suppliers, and colleagues. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal and presentation skills.

The post holder should have exceptional interpersonal, analytical and project management skills coupled with the creative ability to identify avenues of new opportunity for future growth and business expansion.

Proven experience as a sales representative in the rotating equipment repair business, knowledge or experience in machining, welding and mechanical operations will be an asset.

Able to travel frequently as required of the job
